Surprise
Something new has entered my awareness
and become part of my universe
good? bad? delightful or dismaying?
I guess I decide that
for nothing has value
until I name it
but for now it exists.

Like the child I hope to one day be again
I touch it, I smell it, I taste it
finding it weird and wonderful, sweet and bitter
but still
how cool that it exists
and will now be part of my experience
and will soon be part of me..
