Quote of the Day – December 13 2011

““The joy of life consists in the exercise of one’s energies, continual growth, constant change, the enjoyment of every new experience. To stop means simply to die. The eternal mistake of mankind is to set up an attainable ideal.”
–Aleister Crowley

or what’s a heaven for? Tho i believe that when he said ideal Ol’ Aleister did not mean goals. A goal, to me would be more the setting of one’s intent or a use of will to make something happen. An ideal, perfecting one’s spirit or the spirit of humanity, that would be a far different story.
So I have been (albeit at probably way too languid a pace) preparing for the first showing of my art Saturday, an attainable goal, tho not one I had ever set as much as fell into it. The idea of selling my art I find interesting and perhaps the next step in this artistic path that I seem to be on. I’ll report on how it works out 🙂
Namaste, G

Oh yeah, a bit of a note on the lower of the two pieces tonight. Once more I have been experimenting a bit with technique and style…therefore a sketch as there is definitely something not quite ‘finished’ about it.
