Right you are Beverly. In classical Hindu terminology, a mandala is square and has many other fixed elements that are used to represent the universe.
In more modern terms tho, any geometric pattern that can symbolize the universe (which depending on how abstract you are speaking means any) is counted as a mandala.
I suppose I could call them tapestries but then I would have to move them to Tuesdays for proper alliterative value =) I still hope to get to the point where a new tarot image is produced on tuesdays tho those tend to come when the muse wills it….

I think they are very pretty. I have been researching mandalas has i am wanting to create my own.
I am tempted now to create a classical Hindu one myself… Thank you 🙂
