Quote of the Day – December 01 2012

“We must measure our goodness, not by what we don’t do, what we deny ourselves, what we resist, or who we exclude. Instead we should measure ourselves by what we embrace, what we create and who we include.”
― Pere Henri

Tomorrow I return home from Long Beach. This journey has been a good one. It confirmed for me the importance of getting out in nature and just walking. I also had it confirmed for me how much I enjoy meeting friends in real time whom I have previously known only on FB or other forms of  social media and how many really great people I have met over the years.

I have also come to take a closer look at the word inclusion. So many people talk about and even dedicate their lives to making sure that the people they champion are included in the community. I have worked on occasion with a non-profit agency in BC who sees the inclusion of people with physical and mental disabilities into the community as being one of their main functions. Yet I have seen many of these same people being dismissive of homeless people or others who they find to ‘off-beat’ to fit easily into their worlds. Well I guess we all have our blind spots and I too have areas of surprising ignorance.

I’ll leave you with this question tho. When you think of inclusion, who would you leave out and why?
Blessings, G

  1. Include those who are best suited for the occasion and the company. It is important to collect people under headings, not to discriminate but to make the group more effective. People are variables that have moods, that makes life more complicated. Therefore, always simplify..and enjoy..what? group discussion..life is another long and forever journey..we never invite people join and leave on t eir own

    1. But then how do we include everyone or at least not exclude anyone…definitely not for perceived differences in world view…
I say that and then of course what pops into my head but “what about flesh eating zombies” (lol) I do have to get that extreme before i can think of excluding people. Well at least sometimes

  2. Namaste G,
Anybody can try as hard as they can, to ostracize those who seems too ‘off beat’ to fit into any social form .. .ultimately, We are All One. To ignore or ostracize any of our human families is to tell everyone that they too, are incapable of loving oneself.

Anyone can study history lessons/books or learn about ancient beings … the hows, wheres, whys ,,,whats etc… anyone will find that all the stories are similarly experienced in the concept of ‘division’.

In the higher realms, there are different sectors .. doing different jobs/assignments etc but the only difference is that they consider themselves to be One. They don’t have names nor labels. Human beings on Planet Earth are the only civilization, to journey on a 3D level and created lots of division. It’s only natural that the birds of the same feather flocks together but does it serve any purpose for humans to insist on being this way. Spiritual evolution on Planet Earth has taken a turn, back in 1987 (or thereabout). We have been constantly advancing towards loving each other as we love ourselves.

Put all faiths and religions aside but take note on the 3D brainwashed system. If they are not for us, then they are ‘against us’. This is a one way street – go with the flow or else. The rigid mind thoughts of these false brainwashed system, doesn’t and will not work during this last leg of our 3D journey. Most humans are being brainwashed by their religious systems and each wants to be the ‘first’.. to be unique ..to be the champion. Why?

Why is there a ‘need’ to be unique? Everyone wants and wish to be unique. In fact , all of us are unique and we don’t have to show it outwardly for everyone to know that we are unique. Those who are considered ‘street bums’ or homeless or are deemed ‘crazy’ .. .aren’t they unique in their own way? They chose to not follow the brainwashed system that we don’t need money to stay alive. They chose to not follow the banking system that they have to borrow money in order to have a ‘home’.

Home is where the love in your heart resides. No matter where we go, our love resides in our heart and we take it with us no matter how far we travel. Looking from that point of view, when we are far away from our physical house which we call ‘home’, does that make us any less unique?

Looking from a different perspective on the homeless or penniless beings, don’t you think that they are better off, not worrying about bills and debts to pay? I wish that I don’t have to pay for any bills or debts. I wish that we don’t have to deal with ‘money’. I wish that we don’t have deal with time to eat, time to work … ultimately I wish and desire that we don’t have to deal with time at all.

Perhaps, other humans may deem me ‘crazy’ too but then… who can say that I’m not.

I’ve lots of perception to share but… I’m feeling unwell and have to go lay down for awhile. I wish Everyone good health, peace, joy, unconditional love and contentment. May you find precious moments in your everyday living and not worry about tomorrow.

    Agnes
