Quote of the Day – November 29 2011

“Do nothing that is of no use”
― Miyamoto Musashi, The Book of Five Rings

Do Nothing that is of no use. A broad statement indeed. Does not everything have its use? I must ponder on that one. At the very least I feel it may help me with my time management skills. Tho I know it goes much deeper than that. How much of our daily lives could we use better than we do? How many unnecessary conversations? How many unnecessary or even harmful snacks? How much of my FB time is of use? Those are just for instances..More time could be spent on yoga and meditation. More time with family. hmmm much pondering

Note: My blog entries might be a little bit curtailed and more focused on writing than art as I am traveling during this next week. Oh I’ll have an entry every day. Tis a commitment I’ve made and I find the time I spend working on this and making art of use indeed. I was talking to a friend last week about how art was definitely part of my practice and it seems a good one
