Four of Wands (Completion / Structure)

Four of WandsFour of Wands (Revised) by G A Rosenberg

Coming together
Enjoying harmony now
We create our space

We’ve found our way here
United in calm centre
eternal rapture

intense attraction
holds our joint attention here
happiness ensues

Every moment has prepared us for this one
this shining instance
our spirits glow
Our beings know
the wildness that has come before
and the chaos that may spiral hereafter
yet for now we contain perfection
May we take this moment
and carry it forward
in freedom and joy

Wands deal with force, creative, spiritual, and vital. Fours express a stability of the energy, one might even say a containment.  Fire contained can be used to heat and cook and forge but it is not a hundred percent natural. Fire longs to expand freely and so it is in the four of wands. Here is a moment where that energy and force is brought into usefulness. I often think of the four wands in configuration as resembling a marriage canopy and there is something apt about the analogy. So much comes together in the union of two people before their community. It is a spiritual force who’s intensity cannot be maintained yet for the moment is there.

Astrological correspondance – Venus in Aries – Aries is not the most natural place for Venus. Aries tends to be very individualistic while Venus is a very sensual, love-oriented energy. When Venus is in Aries, there is a feeling of immense energy combined in a beautiful form, There is an attraction towards independence and self-expression, an attempt if you will to contain that which can only briefly be contained.

The trigram for Water is over the trigram for Fire. Everything is in its rightful place. Everything broken has been mended. The lovers are united and eveyone lives happily ever after. The question is where do you go from there? Such perfection is by its very nature unstable. From this point things either break apart or go into standstill and stagnation.

When the Four of Wands occurs in a reading, it is a time of joy and boundless energy. It is a time of freedom where things are stable and we can go after anything that we wish. The question that arises is what do we do with this energy? Where do we go from here?

When the Four of Wands shows up reversed in a reading, it is still a time of happiness but the happiness and energy may not be that apparent. It may also indicate that the success and containment of the Four of Wands upright may be applied in a very untypical and unorthodox way.

Quote of the Day – February 7 2012

“The truth will not necessarily set you free, but truthfulness will.”
— Ken Wilber

Authenticity. What does it mean to be your authentic self. Can you be authentic without revealing a lot of yourself? How much trust does it take to be authentic?
Not only of other people but to be able to be open takes a lot of trust in oneself. If I open myself up and reveal my honest self then I have to believe that what I have to show is worth seeing. Also to accept that people will see the me who i am today as a snapshot not as the movie. I have not yet shown the fullness of who I may become even to myself. Namaste, G

Tarot Card of the Day – August 30 2010

Four of Cups

Moon (☽) in Pisces (♓)

Geomancy: Via
Populus

There is something new to be had
I just know it
It comes into view and it will be better than
anything that has come before
This new cup
This new game…
Have I said it before
of each of the others?
I mean it now…
I just know the next
dream come true
will make my dreams come true….

Four of Cups  (Luxury) by G A Rosenberg

Moon in Cancer

Tho this is a natural place for the moon to be, there is an implication according to Aleister Crowley of abandonment to desire and weakness which introduces some rot into the manifestation of the emotion that comes with the four of cups…

Indeed in this card there is an implication of taking what you have for granted and wanting something ‘more’ no matter how fanciful…
No matter what you have, it is the new toy or gadget or game that will make us ‘complete’…
the next person we meet if that is there…the ennui
there arises a certain need to find inspiration from that which is around you….

Tarot Card of the Day- January 24 2010

IV of Swords

Thoughts war with thoughts. Well, maybe not war as much as dance. They swirl around here and there without ease. Thoughts of home with happiness turmoiled. Kids, Schools, Teachers, Doctors, Social Workers, Art, Spirituality, gods, men, politics, philosophy, aliens, 2012,  Math, Clients Art? Art all orbit and combine with reckless abandon. Research on the tree hanging from  its branches locating gods so that I can locate myself? HUH? How many angels can dance on the head of a sephiroth? All depends on which one and what order of angels? How did that angel get into my pyjamas, I’ll never know yet I will survive. Other places fun is had and ale is drinken, here there is garbage that needs removing and decisions that need making on how best to handle kids, work and housecleaning.

STOP!

I need to stop my mind, to rest, to slow it down. Order can be put to chaos and yet the thoughts resist.  Meditation not medication can win me surcease or a few moments peace. Contemplate  Infin-naught. Tho, there is that in me which loves the potential of a cluttered mine for who knows when two discrete things will come into alignment and show me something new. Without that, with a mind newly organized, with each idea put into it “proper” place, do I face stagnation?

Still a respite, a chance to go within-to find peace and therefore become a happy medium.
