Quote of the Day – January 30 2013

“No human relation gives one possession in another—every two souls are absolutely different. In friendship or in love, the two side by side raise hands together to find what one cannot reach alone.”
― Kahlil Gibran

We all reflect the universe in different ways and so become teachers and students to each other. Each one of us can help any other to travel further along their path. Not only in harmony, some people teach us most by being a combination of qualities and opinions we just can’t stand and from experience I know what a good teacher that can be.
Not only do we learn from other people but from anything we encounter. A friend of mine said to me today that “There is nothing that is not GU-RU” and he defined the term GURU as “dispeller of darkness”. I rather like that. We light the way for each other.
Blessings, G

Quote of the Day – March 28 2012

“The teachers we need will always be there when we need them; no reason to track down somebody else’s.”
–Jed McKenna

Sometimes the teacher’s we most need to learn from tend to be the unexpected ones. Someone enters our life, it could be a teacher, a student, a customer who comes into our store and that person either in a moment or over the course of years. This person might not be a teacher for anyone else but he or she becomes our teacher because they are uniquely qualified to convey that thread of truth which we need at that time.
No ‘guru’ can teach us what that person can. When we need those teachers, they are there or at least I have found that to always be so. BLessings, G
