Quote of the Day – August 4 2012

“YOU ARE AN ARTIST OF THE SPIRIT
Find yourself and express yourself in your own particular way. Express your love openly. Life is nothing but a dream, and if you create your life with love, your dream becomes a masterpiece of art.”
― Miguel Ruiz

Can you see beauty in ugliness? Can you spot ugliness in beauty? How do you decide? Or perhaps it’s when.
Deciding is not wrong even if it means leaving objectivity behind. As a matter of fact, you’ve always had preferences, always decided. Only now perhaps you acknowledge that that is what you do. Creation is choice. And good things result when we create with love.

Time to leave crossroads
New balances made daily
My road has no end

Ten of Wands – Redux

Feeling Life’s Burdens?
Remove Problems from the Top
Avoid the collapse

Life in 2012 can feel pretty stressful pretty often. We’re all encouraged to place more and more on our shoulders in more and more different areas. Rest and leisure seem reserved for holidays which all too often get taken up by pressure to do as much leisurely holiday activities as possible.  It feels like time accelerates and we end up with more and more of our time occupied.

Maybe its time to let a few things go. The choices often feel like it is between letting things go by choice or collapsing under the burden. In the long run tho we are the only ones who can decide how much we can handle.

Quote of the Day – July 19 2012

“I offer you peace. I offer you love. I offer you friendship. I see your beauty. I hear your need. I feel your feelings. My wisdom flows from the Highest Source. I salute that Source in you. Let us work together for unity and love.”
–Mahatma Gandhi

Coming together
Enjoying harmony now
We create our space

We’ve found our way here
United in calm centre
eternity bubble

intense attraction
holds our joint attention here
happiness ensues

OK, when not sure how to say what I mean, writing in haiku helps loosen the stuck brain if nothing else and entertains the monkey mind. In this case I completed another tarot card and as has been happening more and more often the force of the card touched my life today. Harmony and ground work for the future kept coming up in my interactions with my family and friends and yet internally while drawn towards harmony my thoughts have felt disquieted. But then as far as cards go the four of wands and I have rarely been that close. That may sound a bit odd that I have different types of relationships with different cards and yet other readers and folks who work with the cards have told me its also true for them.

Perhaps this feeling of disquiet means that I need to get to know this force better. Perhaps some team building exercises might help or more involvement with group activities. I tend to live in my own head quite a bit so perhaps it may be time to do more with others.

On a different subject tho connections can be drawn, I leave those who read this with a question that has been on my mind quite a bit in the past few days. Who do you speak for?

Four of Wands by G A Rosenberg

Identity

Not where I’m going
the roots need to strengthen tho
progress has begun

Not where I came from
I’ve come too far, seen too much
Closed some doors behind

No group can claim me
My views can’t be limited
by another’s words

human beingness
transcending and evolving
I embrace fully

Sometimes the strait jacketed elegance of a haiku allows for great clarity. In my exploration of identity this past week, both my own individual identity and my consideration of the groups and causes we identify with I kept coming to the conclusion that if we don’t start thinking of ourselves in a larger sense as part of one greater whole humanity (perhaps even beyond that, beings on this planet) than we are in danger of not being. Too many people pushing either their own agendas or the agendas of a small group that they wish to benefit from who aren’t realizing the potential danger in the choices they are making. Many too many of them seem to be in decision making positions in this world. Please when possible, think large. Embrace your humanity. Be kind.

Lazered by G A Rosenberg

Quote of the Day – June 17 2012

“Art can be worship and Service.
The Incandescent core of our soul.
A glowing God’s eye,
Infinitely aware of the beauty of creation,
Is interlocked with a network of souls,
Part of one vast group soul.”
–Alex Grey

Searching for Wisdom
I examine my soul’s depths
I come up empty

Meditation brings me
Balance and new awareness
A flower opens

An end to searching
The universe lives and breaths
within my vision

Birds fly overhead
universe breathes within them
I am not alone

A bit of Haiku structure for a night when I need my being jogged. It seems to be for me anyway more of a weekend of being rather than communication. Words seem to be coaxed out only by rhythm tho awareness seems high.

Three of Swords-Redux

Separation

None that came
and took the hand
of sorrow’s separation
Bleeding heart releases tears
Not only bloody down
the cheek of one’s soul
but burning holes
in the fabric of real
exposing chaos

What can come
spring forth from loins
of chaos manifestation
Lovely monsters coming through
not only ravishing
the whole of being
but with ecstatic
terrible beauty
exhorting night
–GAR

I didn’t want to know.
Separation hurts like hell
Still I go onward
