Quote of the Day – September 28 2011

“To hold our tongues when everyone is gossiping, to smile without hostility at people and institutions, to compensate for the shortage of love in the world with more love in small, private matters; to be more faithful in our work, to show greater patience, to forgo the cheap revenge obtainable from mockery and criticism: all these are things we can do. ”
― Hermann Hesse

If I need to be eaten by emotion may it be by Love and Joy rather than anger, bitterness or fear. Now I gain insight into why i find it better to let emotions flow through rather than provide resistance. In the very word, when there is resistance, something cannot move.. I want all emotions to move. When they don’t, the body reacts in a way that shows dis-ease, particularly emotions like anger and fear..–GAR
