Art Reflecting Life – A Story Excerpt

“Lines of writing conjugate with other lines, life lines, lines of luck or misfortune, lines productive of the variation of the line of writing itself, lines that are between the lines of writing.”
— Gilles Delouse & Felix Guattari.

The man sat down and started to write. The scene he was writing was supposed to be a joyous celebratory scene as his characters reunited after being apart for years. Yet his heart was not in it. After the last argument that he had had with his employer and the lack of argument that he had with his partner the joy did not seem to come. So instead of reuniting, his characters ended up walking away in disappointment tho he still had hope he could bring them together some day. He thought that writing about life was so much easier than living it yet both were unpredictable. If his protagonist was to feel real to him then he had to have the capacity to make his own mistakes even if that led to both of them having sleepless nights.
