Caught Up in The Life Storm

And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.
— Haruki Murakami

Sailing from crisis to crisis
I wonder how I survive the rain
yet I’ve come through
and each storm builds my strength.
I’ve seen those
who seem to dissolve
when blown by harsh winds
tho I have leaned to thrive.
Some say “If I make it through this…”
I have no time for ifness
I must survive
for there are those who depend on me
so I’ll walk on scattered and torn
yet constantly ennobled
and will take whatever comes my way
searching for the sun
searching for the moon
and knowing I’ll see them again.

Storm Interlude

“When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”
― Haruki Murakami

Driving through the mountains
comining into Hope,B.C.
The rain comes down in torrents
and visibility is way down.
we decide to stop and grab a motel
rather then get caught in the mountains.
Many had the same idea.
There is no lodging in Hope
so we backtrack
Miles to go before we sleep
and many more miles added tomorrow.
Still the spirit of adventure
is with us as we hydroplane.
Tomorrow we will pass hope
and complete our journey.
Tonight we rest.
Blessings,G
