“Sometimes you simply need to drift aimlessly, in order to reach the destination of aim.”
― Lionel Suggs
On a night when the rain comes down
and the stars remain silent
I let my mind drift
reflecting on my soul’s colours
and the stories I have yet to write.
There is a greyness to the moment
but I don’t seem to mind.
Not every second can be filled with purpose
and nothing pressing before the morrow’s sun
I can think of loved ones’ smiles
or the needs of the many
and I will…everything in time
yet for now I will wander
until the night calls me home.
