The dark and transgressing principle in the occult philosophy is traditionally feminine by nature. The female is the “left” and the “sinister”. The world of qliphoth in the Qabalah, or the Sitra Ahra (the Left Side) is considered as feminine, and Lilith, the demon whore, is viewed as its personification. The left side of the Qabalistic Tree of Life is also feminine and is called “The Pillar of Severity”. It contains the sephira Geburah which, according to some Qabalistic theories, was the source of the qliphoth. The imbalance of the powers of Geburah/Din (judgement/punishment) poured out of the Tree and created the Sitra Ahra, the “other side”, or the “left side”, which is the kingdom of evil and darkness. — Asenath Mason
I was wandering through social media today and was amazed at how many helpful people I saw. It seems like everyone wants to give their opinions on everyone else and how they’re getting it wrong. I would rather stay in my own lane and work on myself. That doesn’t mean I won’t pull over to help someone in need. Whenever I have the time I am more than willing to help someone get to their destination. I draw the line at insisting that everyone has to follow my route or go where I’m going. I tend to like the quiet road myself.
The Ego is ignorant towards both sigils and symbols, but they both give the Ego a flow of knowledge from themselves. If you seek the truth using only your past experiences, then you will never find it. It is only by releasing what you think you know and being open to new experiences and more importantly new perceptions that you have the possibility of growth. To me, the only interesting people are those who are willing to give up who they are for who they may become. I seek to remain interesting in that way always.
Reach within and without for Inspiration. Invoke often. Meditate and allow things to float to the surface. Have something mindless playing in the background that will occupy your attention and allow the art to form before you. Start playing with purposeless purpose and then look at what has surfaced. Sculpt it out of the surroundings. Do what you can to perfect it and let it go
What are your symbols? What do they mean to you? What is your system for accessing them?
Do you choose divination, ritual, magick, evocation, invocation or do you follow a safer more conventional route such as prayer in a church, temple or mosque? I feel there that if you know the answers to these questions for any given person and more importantly your own answers than you have come a long way towards understanding the person.
