Don’t make assumptions – Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

Thanks to Vajra and Tammy two friends for bringing up an interesting discussion about assumptions
What assumptions do we make? Without assumptions how do we examine anything? Don’t problems arise a lot more often when we take our assumptions as facts?I would say that most of our insights into life are mainly assumptions. I guess my point is that what is any of our world views but assumptions? If Fuller was right that the universe is an asynchronoumously apprehended phenomenon than we cannot ‘get it’ all at once and some assumptions are inevitable. I value it highly when someone not only questions and tests every assumption they make but encourages the others around them to do the same. If I honestly seek to understand and integrate other views of the universe how can I resist testing any assumptions I have against those of any and all comers and testing their views against mine?
I love knowing so little, if anything for sure. It means that I have a lot to learn with never an end in sight…

Wow, love your images – and good advice.
Thanks so much and thanks for subscribing
I know that assuming is dangerous–but it is a risk we must take–because without some assumptions, we would never get our minds around things
Yes exactly… we cannot avoid assuming.. its a matter of awareness that that is what we do. Thanks for commenting
Your blog is interesting but I find the font extremely difficult to read.
Thanks– what would you suggest I do to make it clearer?
