Quote of the Day – November 12 2012

“Face your life, its pain, its pleasure, leave no path untaken.”
― Neil Gaiman, The Graveyard Book

How far do I travel when roads diverge?
How many possibilities can I hold
before the wave collapses
and my way becomes fixed? >

How much of life’s poison must I swallow?
How many blessings by grace receive?
How many loves to meet and hide from?
How many times must my soul bleed?

In my life I feel I have had more joy than sorrow. I’m not sure how much of this is due to my outlook. I have long ago given up holding on to most of the things that most people seem to. When something hurts, I feel the pain and do my best to make it stop hurting. Looking back at past pains, replaying them in my head seems silly to me for the most part. Tho I can understand the impulse. Still while i am willing to hear the pain and sorrow that helped shape friends old and new, i want to hear some of the happy stuff as well. What flower or sunset or light in a child’s eye filled one with joy and awe? What point was the happiest and most soul fulfilling in their lives. I’ll show you mine if you show me yours 🙂

Blessings, G

Quote of the Day – June 18 2012

“If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it’s not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take. That’s why it’s your path.”
― Joseph Campbell

Sometimes tho rarely I believe I travel in a straight line. My time on the physical journeyed from birth to death with some brightly lit highlights along the way. Other times when I think of emotional patterns or areas of concern my life takes a spiral shape with certain things being revisited with hopefully a greater grasp on them each time. Oh circular patterns fit in also.

There are times I have felt as if I’ve lost all rhyme and rhythm with certain points of trauma calling me back and calling me back sticking to my soul like fresh tar that the more I resist the more I’m stuck. More and more often now tho I see a fractal pattern to my life, motifs get repeated like musical hooks played by different instruments at different times and in different keys, providing either dissonance or harmony as needed.

As Joseph Campbell said tho, we cannot really see the path ahead of us. Who knows looking back thirty years from now, how it will look. Still the journey has been pretty strange and wonderful so far and whatever comes I am open and ready.
Blessings, G

Quote of the Day – September 7 2011 (Shadows and Dawn)

“Anthems to glory
and Anthems to love
and hymns filled with earthly delight
like the songs that the darkness composes
to worship the light ”
–Dan Fogleberg (Netherlands)

Sometimes my brightest most hopeful thoughts come in the middle of the night. Walking underneath the moon and the stars, feeling the evening breeze around me I make connections and insights and feel most in touch and in alignment with the highest parts of my being. Most of my creativity happens at night. I can see her as Nuit, the eternal night mother from which springs all and which will sweep back all that comes from her…

Likewise Dawn can bring a wistfulness as much as a celebration…After all you cannot have a shadow without a light to cast it…

Acknowledging all sides of ourselves, the lift, the drag and the thrust do we rise.

Quote of the Day – September 4 2011

“BE STILL: Be stiller yet; and listen. Set the screen
Of silence at the portal of your will.
Relax, and let the world go by unheard.
And seal your lips with some all-sacred word.”
–Ella Wheeler Wilcox

Portals
Sometimes my channels feel completely open-ready to receive anything and everything. Other times it seems that so much is in process transmitting, receiving, process that i can hear the grind of the mental and spiritual hard drive as it slows down to a crawl..
Make some space, clear out the files I no longer use, Empty myself
OM
OM
OM
Hailing Frequencies Open. Ready Once again to receive

(Of course there are times when the inner channels play cartoons but that’s another story) 😉

Along the Path

(Opinions of the present–as always subject to change and perhaps wrong, this is presently where my personal road signs are pointing)
Noone has a lock on your path towards truth or even what your view of reality might be. Not old school gurus, not Team Light, not anyone,
we are all sovereign humans and part of that is having to figure it out for ourselves
Part of this figuring out may mean we subscribe to someone else’s viewpoints for moments, months, or years but we learn from them…but when we do so if we accept their interpretation of what our path could be over our own internal guidance (when there is a conflict) then we are not being true to ourselves
Everybody has a piece of the puzzle, none has an ABSOLUTE lock on the truth, that does not mean that we can’t learn from each person, we can..each person’s outlook can only strengthen ours if we are open to it (perhaps even more so, if we rail against it)
The Absolute is bigger than we CAN conceive–not bigger than we do conceive but bigger than we are capable, anyone who claims to have absolute understanding is to put it mildly mistaken, at least in that regard tho they may have wisdom in others
Likewise….anyone who puts down another’s path and says it is COMPLETELY wrong is mistaken…
At the same time it is easier to advance along a spiritual path by following the way of a teacher , most paths tend to be hierarchical tho eventually any path that is not one’s own will either become less and less of a fit or you will stray further from yourself the longer you are on it..
Getting off a path that no longer works for you is not a bad thing. Trashing it for not being an exact fit does disservice to you and the path.
Actually trashing anyone else’s path tends to be nonproductive.
The only prize that seems worthwhile would be greater self-awareness, self-actualization, How one gets there whether through diksha, initiation, ascension or some other form of transcendence seems less then important.

Thoughts on the Journey

It is always in progress

It is not a race. Our spirits all move towards actualization (full self-realization through lifetimes) at their own pace and we move towards knowledge of our spirit at our own pace. There is no prize for getting there first.

We do accelerate tho when we slow down to help out another. Indeed realizing that we’re all in this together seems to be a main realization point along the road…
By all means train if that is your inclination.. Training (meditation, energy manipulation, energy charging etc) is fun and useful. When it becomes something you have to do rather than something done in joy that doesn’t seem like training and can set you back…

There is no one path to get there. If anything, every aspect of spirit (each of us) has their own road. For moments or for lifetimes ( a less brief moment in eternity) our road may converge with other’s. Our higher selves (or inner master or Spirit guides, whatever guidance system you use or all of them) will tell us for how long or how far..

There is not one being whom we draw into our path whom we cannot learn something from. Likewise there is no being who cannot learn from us.. Be open to the lesson or lessons. Be open to when they’re over.

We are limitless… Any limits we feel are those we needed at some point in able to help us along…Don’t be afraid to exceed your self-imposed limitations.

Any words we use to describe ourselves, any definitions are by their nature limiting. We may be this for a time but we are so much more…

The journey never ends

Everything on this list may be wrong =)

More Randomness

Write rite right?

Is true love something we learn
or is it what is left after we unlearn
what society programs into us?
scales fall from my eyes and from my heart
and I see you
and perhaps myself
through new eyes…
Forgiving for living the past
as the future offers such promise
The cynic got lost somewhere along the way
tho sometimes i feel him trying to find his way home
No welcome may be found
tho he looks to crawl in behind my eyes
love and hope block the way

The spiral has been expanding..
