Cracked Eggs and Foil Wraps

“Pan, who and what art thou?” he cried huskily.
“I’m youth, I’m joy,” Peter answered at a venture, “I’m a little bird that has broken out of the egg.”
― J.M. Barrie

Ageless youth
innocent of consequence
yet in full presence
the new age has begun and
the hawk has flown free
he shows the way
for those brave enough
to find their own
not to blindly emulate
in form but in passion
for no two dances are the same
Adore the sun and fly the sky
Burn out the dross and lose all anchors
the morn has come
and the child conquers

The Poet as Thief of Fire

““The poet, therefore, is truly the thief of fire.He is responsible for humanity, for animals even; he will have to make sure his visions can be smelled, fondled, listened to; if what he brings back from beyond has form, he gives it form; if it has none, he gives it none. A language must be found…of the soul, for the soul and will include everything: perfumes, sounds colors, thought grappling with thought”
― Arthur Rimbaud

Like Raven I will steal the sun to keep you warm
and to see its reflection in your eyes
as you awaken
On the night we met you had the stars
you fed them to me like grapes
as i became transfigured by your presence
We made elemental love
my fire banked in your earth
your water in my air
and birthed phoenixes in our destruction…

Kaleidoscopic Thoughts
Patterns and Colours elicit memories
that keep returning in small measure
Fractal repeating tropes
that resolve sometimes in local fashion
more often in infinite expression.

Quote of the Day – February 25 2013

“If you cannot be a poet, be the poem.”
— David Carradine

Today I shall be lyrical, not hysterical
I shall wax poetic
in the full moon light
and be an ode to those I love
I am recited onstage
at a jam
Performed and rammed
out singing
stinging those who need to be
and sent out to the world
on the interwebs
to touch hearts
and souls
Perhaps I will be a limerick
to be repeated like a cheap trick
they’ll parrot my words
and find them absurd
in hopes of receiving a lic…
NO
my aim will be higher
I’ll fight to inspire
hearts and minds
awaken those
fogged with sleep
make them weep
Let me be the poem
AND the poet
self created
and never ending….

Quote of the Day – November 2 2012

“Your hand opens and closes, opens and closes. If it were always a fist or always stretched open, you would be paralysed. Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding, the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated as birds’ wings.”
― Rumi

Can I communicate with colour
Can you understand my reds and greens or does the purple cause hesitation
and puzzle meant on your part
chartreuse pink may say it just right as long as not too much is red into…

My selves dance around in chaotic hue
combining into pictures that lack words
and words to songs not yet written
that I sing into the Karaoke machine

which self will i be
why must i choose now
i will be the voice for them all
knowing that each feeds into the total
not only does the elephant exist
he manifests in me…
well partially anyway

or is that holy
for yes that comes through to
enough that i can recognize the
divinity I see in you
Ewe, not sheepishly i realize
that you are a voice within as well

Night time…

“I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day. ”
~Vincent Van Gogh

Mother Night folds me to her breast
caresses my being in shades of sleep
The day has drained me
and in her dark being
I will find myself replenished.

Shadows walking through my soul
Shadows caressing me in my bed
whisper lullabies in my ears
and bring me dreaming home

Clouds at  Night by G A Rosenberg

Song to the Wise

Wiccan women calling down the moon
seeking to travel
seeking to learn
Does it speak to the heart?
Does it speak to within
Does it speak to virtue
Does it speak to your sin
and what have you done
for what do you grieve?
You have lived, nothing less
than what you believe

Medicine man singing the sun
seeking to guide
seeking to heal
Does it come from spirit
Does it speak to your soul?
Does it bring us together?
and make the parts whole?
and what have we done
what do we believed
With you love, we have grown
A new life we must weave
